Kevin Moore, Creator, Editor in Chief (and Connect Four champion).
Kevin Moore was born in Rotterdam, Holland in 1976. His father's role as a missionary with the Church of the Nazarene took the Moore family to South Africa, France, Rwanda, Zaire and Kenya before finally settling in California where he attended college at both Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Moore began his professional career at the age of 23 and has exhibited consistently in San Francisco at both Hangart and Hespe Gallery since 1998. He is an accomplished painter with works in both private and public collections throughout the world. In addition to exhibiting in many group and solo shows, Moore has been reviewed in ARTNEWS, American Art Collector and WHERE Magazines, and was selected as one of the top "21 under 31" emerging artists by Southwest Art Magazine in 2005. The artist lives and works in the Bay Area and has been a full-time professor at the Academy of Art University for 16 years after graduating in 2000.

Pigeon was born in Visalia, California in 1980. She studied dance at CalArts before moving around the country to collaborate with visual artists. She has worked at over 30 art schools & studios, including Lucasfilm, Pixar, Pratt Institute, NYU, and The Art Student's League of New York. She has worked with many well-known artists in New York, L.A., Seattle, and San Francisco. Paintings and drawings of her have been published in numerous magazines including American Art Collector, Poets & Artists, and The Artist's Magazine. Images of her have also appeared in 6 books on art instruction. She currently works at the Academy of Art University and at Books Inc in Alameda.
Elizabeth Imende-Cooney, Curriculum Consultant (and tea connoisseur).
Elizabeth Imende, founder and director of Advancing Educators, has 12 years of experience guiding teachers in public schools, independent schools and vocational/technical schools in curriculum design. She has presented curriculum design workshops to American K-12 schools in the United States and around the world in Shanghai, Addis Ababa, Krakow, Vienna, Johannesburg, Dubai and El Salvador. Her audience for these workshops includes visual and performing arts teachers for whom she has also provided close reviews and feedback for units of study. Elizabeth's expertise is in helping these teachers design engaging and effective learning experiences that are aligned with research-based standards for rigorous and developmentally appropriate art education. Elizabeth's role in Spacebythebay is to guide the clear articulation of learning outcomes and sequence of learning activities in order to ensure that students are both developing a love of art and acquiring the knowledge, skills and understandings necessary to continue to produce their highest quality work. Elizabeth lives in Boston, MA with her three elementary-aged kids, all budding artists.
