Holding your private event at The Space is perfect for any function from celebrations and social networking to presentations and seminars. Our space is rich with quality artworks created by Bay Area artists. An event at The Space will have the creative edge to inspire and make a memorable experience.
Located just off Park St in Downtown Alameda, The Space is one story above street level and offers an open 1,800 sq ft gallery. Our exhibited art collection changes at least once monthly ensuring your events will always be fresh and unique.

Chances are the boring hotel banquet room or the newest crowded bar are not the vibe you want for your event. By hosting your event at The Space you get the best of both, and set the cool and intimate tone for a special evening. Located above the ground floor, The Space offers an intimate environment that encourages meandering, but is not so big as to lose guests.

What information should I know when renting The Space Gallery for my event?
Our space holds up to 75 guests and can seat 40 for served dinner events.
We have a large Kitchen perfect for setting up, cooking, and serving food.
We are located on the second floor of a two story building. We do not have an elevator or wheel-chair access.
A caterer is required for all events. You may choose your own caterer (with The Space approval), or go with our preferred: Scotty Kennedy www.sparklingorstill.com.
Alcohol consumption is permissible and only responsibly so. Serving liquor requires a licensed bartender.
No open flames are allowed in the gallery at any time.
All dates are on a first come first serve basis. We require a $250.00 non-refundable reservation fee to secure your date
Some supplies, including a stereo system are available for use if arranged in advance and for an additional fee.
An event rental contract is signed at reservation outlining expectations of care and use of the facilities and its contents.
